Carlos Moreira began his career as a UN expert on IT, eSecurity and Trust Models, working for ILO, UN, UNCTAD, ITC/WTO, World Bank, UNDP, ESCAP from 1983 to 1998. A recognized early stage pioneer in the field of digital identity, he was also Adjunct Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology from 1995 to 1999 as well as Head of the Trade Efficiency Lab at the Graduate School of Engineering at RMIT.
In 1999, he founded the Geneva-based online data security firm WISeKey, where he currently serves as Chairman and CEO. Mr Moreira’s unique profile, which combines extensive high level international diplomacy experience and emerging technologies expertise, has positioned him as a distinctive authority, thought leader, and entrepreneurial force in today’s digital world where the acquisition and trusted protection of a digital identity has become an essential step for citizens and entities across the globe. Andrew Forson
Head of Ventures and Investments, The Hashgraph Group AG
Andrew Forson is the Head of Ventures and Investments at The Hashgraph Group, an affiliated entity to The Hashgraph Association which is the commercialization and enablement arm of the Hedera Layer 1 Distributed Ledger ecosystem. There he is responsible for making investments and working with portfolio companies to develop and execute their strategic vision in a manner that builds value. Andrew leads capital raising for the Hashgraph Ventures Fund as well as the development of structured instruments.
Andrew is currently a director of DeFi Technologies, parent company of Valour, a creator of regulated exchange traded fund instruments. He is also an Advisory Board member of Trinity College Dublin University. Andrew is a software developer and financial quantitative risk engineer who has served in roles as diverse as Founder, CEO, CTO, Head of Risk and Quantitative Analytics, and Global Business Blockchain Lead at a range of tech and finance related companies in a twenty-five year career that began with Deloitte Consulting in Toronto Canada.
Andrew holds an MBA, Post Graduate Certificate, and Post Graduate Diploma from the Edinburgh Business School. He led interdisciplinary teams with a mission to maximize the benefits of science and technology for society by partnering with governments, companies, civil society, and experts from around the world to co-design new approaches to technology, business and governance.
Concurenlty, Danil served as a manager of the Global Future Council on Agumented and Virtual Reality. Previously, he has managed councils and working groups on Cybersecutiry, Future of Computing, Anti Corruption, Conflict Prevention, Emerging Markets, Digital Policy and Regional/National Competiveness as well as Industry Governors groups. For more than a decade, Danil have been working on national digital/cyber strategies, internet governance and evidence-based policy making. He has also served as the Senior Legal Advisor on Hate Crime for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
