Uranus Retrogrades in Taurus this month: Our collective root chakra gets a jolt of energy as ‘the Great Awakener’ shifts into reverse. Appetites, finances, and securities are all changing. This is our Tower card moment—things feel uprooted, upside down, and that’s ok—because it’s all for the purpose of rebuilding a better foundation. Pro tip: Uranus retrogrades 155 days every year, moving four degrees backward through the zodiac. August comes in with a bang! Mars conjoins Uranus on the 1st on a 2nd line day, and on a Monday which is ruled by the Moon. Aha moments, breakthroughs, and even some explosions are likely.. Take extra caution around electrical outlets and appliances. Saying yes to incorrect things while you’re happy creates burnout.
Good chemistry. There’s a lot of love in the air this week spicing things up! Venus sextiles Uranus and Mars, and trines Neptune – Do you want to leave room in your schedule to be pleasantly surprised? This can be a fortunate financial transit as well – is there some surprise money coming in? The 2nd is an ideal evening for a dreamy, hot date.
Distractions and inconsistency may pull you in several directions as you’re trying to figure out how you feel. Stay hydrated and pack your patience as accidents are more likely and tempers flare over the weekend. Unprocessed emotions may surface as Mars squares Saturn on the 7th. We are learning to be okay in the highs, lows, stillness, and adventure – trusting that we are exactly where we need to be.

With Venus opposing Pluto many of us will feel lethargic and somewhat helpless. This creates a willingness to do things differently. And isn’t that exactly the place where Spirit wants us to be? We don’t have to be ready, we just have to be willing. Do you want to stay plugged in to your counselors, dreamers, and spiritual support team this week?
Stinking Thinking. Do you notice what’s bothering you? There’s an inner pressure to figure something out midweek—this energy has a tendency to also create issues where there are none. What really needs to be figured out – and what is just mind candy that’s trying to distract you?
Rebel Rebel. Unpredictability, outbursts, and radical changes of behavior are among us. We can continue to make the most of uncertain times by knowing ourselves, and being true to ourselves. Where can you break on through to the other side, yeah? Venus enters Leo on the 11th as the Sun squares Uranus.
August 12: Full Moon at 19° Aquarius. Intention: I am proud of my progress and experience futuristic solutions with ease. It’s time to find completion with whatever is making you crazy. This will bring liberation and freedom we are seeking this month.

There’s hunger for a new adventure, and you have the energy to follow a new impulse while the Sun is in gate 29 (August 17-22). Be careful about overcommitting to incorrect invitations this week – only do what’s best for your energy.
Speaking of what’s best for you—what do you want to learn? Mars moves into Gemini August 20th through October 30th. The good news: this influence creates more flexibility, and adaptability. The challenging news: we can be wishy-washy, indecisive, and talk too much. The mind can be a dangerous place on it’s own – do you want to check in with a mentor for coffee? Does it sound fun to keep yourself stimulated with new projects and fun people to avoid stagnation and boredom? I’m taking the Master Gardener classes this season.

The Scorpio eclipse on October 25th brings a new awareness as it’s planetary ruler Mars sets up to retrograde October 30th for the rest of the year in Gemini. Mars represents challenges, energy, competition, and war. Gemini governs the lungs, shoulders, and hands, as well as our schools, teachers, and the way we learn.
