30 Sep October Skies 2017
The month of October is my favorite month of the year. The chill of Fall puts me in the mood to make holiday gift baskets and this year I have quite the baskets planned with homemade everything: mustard, crocheted scarves, sun-dried tomatoes, jelly, soap, candles, and a family favorite – waxed pinecone firestarters. I love making chili, snuggling on the couch, and getting outside to hike under the orange leaves. There is a lot of expansive Love Magic available this October, and one of the biggest astrological events of the year happens on October 10th when Jupiter makes a big shift into Scorpio. 10/3: Healing love is in the air the first week of October when Venus trines Pluto. If you find yourself in the mood for deep, transformational healing, tonight is a great night for introspection with your beloved self. Ask yourself this: what is the most loving thing for me? How can I love myself better? I challenge you to write a love letter to yourself as well – an activity that has provided me with much healing and growth.
10/5 –A spirited Full Moon in Aries along with Venus conjunct Mars in the Skies can bring love magic to relationships today. It’s also the first day of Sukkot, a Jewish holiday that lasts for about seven days. Read more about the vibes of this moon here.
10/8 – Think twice and slow your roll today: Venus squares Saturn, while Sun conjuncts Mercury, and the Moon is in Gemini. You may be of a divided mind about important matters, you could find yourself involved in a lovers quarrel, or your better half may not be making responsible choices – all of which can have you frustrated. Staying mentally focused on yourself instead of others can help take the pressure off.
10/9 – Columbus Day –Intense changes are afoot as Mercury and the Sun both square Pluto. Everything you thought you knew is challenged. In certain cases, you might not even recognize the face looking back at you in the mirror. Exercise patience and compassion when possible, and let the Skies change before making big decisions.
10/10 – Venus will be opposite Chiron in the Skies when Jupiter enters Scorpio where it will stay for a year. This is a significant astrological event! Jupiter has been in Libra, and we have had opportunities to expand through partnerships. With Jupiter entering Scorpio today, themes of business, research, criminal investigations, finances, intuition, and anything taboo rise to the surface. Consider also that it’s time for you to write, perform, or develop your life’s work if it’s in these areas. In Stephen Arroyo’s book “Exploring Jupiter,” he notes several people who have Jupiter in Scorpio natally are known for “passionate emotional expression,” including Elvis Presley, Alfred Hitchcock, Tennessee Williams, Tchaikovsky, Strauss, Hemingway, and Tolstoi.

10/14 –The Sun sextiles the North Node, and Venus enters Libra today: order is restored, beauty brings balance, and your vision is accurate.
